Temporary Emergency Services?
   

Our Mission: Temporary Emergency Services Inc., is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping individuals and families in crisis situations. Churches in the Tuscaloosa Community funded TES in1945 to serve clients unable to receive assistance from local social services agencies. TES and the Thrift Store serve residents of Tuscaloosa County
on an as needed basis.

TES receives donations from United Way, local businesses, churches, and individuals. TES assists individuals and families in crisis situations in order to allow the clients to survive the immediate crisis they are encountering. TES operates its programs efficiently and effectively, thereby maximizing its limited resources, and the productivity of it employees. TES utilizes programs and services that have been successful for other public, private and nonprofit organizations. A United Way Agency

   

TES provides assistance to individuals or families
in crisis situations including those who:

  • Have lost all possessions in a fire
  • Need life supporting medications
  • Are eligible for food stamps, but need assistance filling out applications or food until their application is approved
  • Have young children beginning school without school supplies
  • Need a tooth extraction

*Eligible clients must have referrals for those services.

  • Cleaning Products
  • Emergency Transportation
         City Bus Tokens
         Out-of-town appointments
  • Dental Assistance

 

And assistance in many other areas.
